The Seatery Expand Their Skills Beyond Upholstery

Foresters hall

The Seatery are adding to their skills list, not only are they fine upholsterers but they are now also project managing installation of upholstered hospitality seating and retail point of sale.  The Foresters Hall Pizzeria at 64 Smith Street, Collingwood have commissioned The Seatery to oversee the installation of their banquette seating. The Seatery contracted Joiners, Deadwood Designer Interiors, and eleven metres in total of seating has been installed on a raised platform, which is covered in American Oak floorboards. The seating is six metres long with two returns, each two metres in length, the overall height is 900mm, with the seats being 600mm wide x 450mm high. Upholstery is in vinyl supplied by Viyfab, the design is J-Series and the colour Ruby with the fascias on the returns being covered in an American Oak veneer to match the floorboards.

Another departure from the norm for The Seatery is their latest project at a Bailey Nelson, Eyewear Boutique working with aluminium and steel finishing. The point of sale counter measuring 1800mm long x 900mm wide x 800mm deep boasts steel caps on the corners of the counter, giving it a similar appearance to an old style shipping trunk.  The corners are upholstered in belting leather with the addition of bluesteel caps, which protect the corners.  Bluesteel tacks and an aluminium fascia on the counter all combine to create an art deco look.

A banquette seat of 6.5 metres, a part of stage one of the new Bistro joinery at the Trios Entertainment Complex at 30 Grant Street, Cranbourne is another recently completed upholstery project. The unusual backing is made up of two pieces that are horizontal, measuring 1100mm high x 600mm wide with a seat height of 450mm.  The seat was upholstered in  vinyl supplied by Warwick in the design Lustrell and colour Mondo (black).
