the Emporium  New Department Store, The Emporium

The Seatery have been actively involved in providing quality upholstery for some of the branded stores within the Myer and Emporium Department Stores. Activity at Myer and their building of a new Department Store, the Emporium in Lonsdale Street, indicate strong confidence in retail.  This has been backed up recently with the Bureau of Statistic’s figures showing an increase in retail sales of 6.2 per cent over the last 12 months.

The Seatery have been busy creating wall panels to go behind the counter of the Aesop store in Myer Melbourne.  Made of a synthetic felt in dark grey the panels are fixed to the wall with shelves and drawers.  Made in two panels 1800mmx 600mm and 2200mm x600mm in size,  the front of the drawers are finished in the same synthetic felt, as are the shelves, extending the sophisticated luxuriant look for the customer counter.

Another Aesop store in The Emporium, the newest Department Store, needed bench seats.  The Seatery supplied sumptuous upholstered bench seating in a perforated leather – Contemporary Leather, in charcoal from Instyle Leathers.

The amount of upholstery The Seatery is being commissioned to do for hospitality must be due to the boon to this sector, with Australians spending 11.9 per cent more in cafes and restaurants over the past year. Recently Mocca Mojos, a cafe and lounge in the Eden Rose Village at Berwick, had five metres of banquette seating and seven metres of bench seating upholstered by The Seatery in Giselle Vinyl supplied by Bifab.

Another café, the Tap & Flame in Belmont Centro Shopping Centre, Geelong commissioned The Seatery to upholster 7.5 metres of banquette seating, finished with buttoning, in a brown vinyl supplied by Mokum Designtex. Five panels in the same vinyl complements the hospitality seating.
